The WaveJet 300 series oscilloscope can be fully controlled through a remote connection by using the WJ-GPIB or WJ-LAN interface cards. These cards plug directly into the rear panel option slots of the WaveJet and can be used to transfer waveform data, measurement values, and screen images to your PC. The interfaces also provide control for all the vertical, horizontal, trigger, and other settings remotely.Communicating with your WaveJet is made simple by using LeCroy’s Scope Explorer or ActiveDSO software utilities. Scope Explorer provides an easy method to save waveforms, screen images, and setups to your PC without your having to write complicated remote control programs. It also provides the ability to monitor the oscilloscope display on a remote PC by using the auto display refresh function. With ActiveDSO the process of creating automated remote control programs is simplified by a set of predefined functions designed to automatically control the WaveJet remotely, changing all vertical and horizontal settings, trigger conditions, measurement parameters, and more. These functions also allow you to read out measurement values or transfer waveforms back to the controlling PC. Both Scope Explorer and ActiveDSO are available for free download from LeCroy Web site.
